Religious Education KS1

As a Cornish school, we use the Cornwall Agreed Syllabus. In KS1 pupils are introduced to RE through stories, artefacts and first hand experiences such as going to the church or chapel and acting out a wedding. They are also taught about Judaism.

Pupils learn about religion and from religion and so begin to explore their own world view through what they find out. They start to use Philosophy for Children sessions as a tool for developing thinking skills as well as starting to explore “bigger questions” and recognise that everyone’s opinion is valid.
